[CONTAMINATED] is an experimental font that visualizes my experience of living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Designed to mimic the uncontrollable and overstimulating sense of bacteria when viewed under a microscope, my goal was to create a sense of uneasiness similar to my perception of germs. Showcased within a zine, I created the font to break down stigmas around Contamination OCD, helping to create a better understanding of the topic personal to me. Challenged with replicating the organic shapes of bacteria, I used olive oil and balsamic vinegar to create each individual character.
